shower ptrap installed

Well, I finally got tired of the rubber flap-a-doey letting in tank smells...and...since I had to replace the shower base which cracked and the shower drain which cracked, it seemed like the time was right. Shower ptrap is heavy schedule 40 1.5 inch trap from lowes with two rubber no hub couplings and the shower grey tank inlet pipe supported. Here is a picture of my install. John

Nice work. Makes sense if yours is located there. Ours is in the middle of my basement so I just replace the valve if necessary. Only on my second one for a 2010 rig so it's not a big deal yet for us.

A really nice job, I have been wanting to do something like that to my shower drain, and get rid of that back yard mechanic drain and screen that Keystone installed.
I noticed you don't have a vent tube in that line, is that you don't need one? will it drain without one? all my sinks have a vent which allows the sinks to drain quickly, I am guessing the shower don't need one.
