If you don't like to use the public laundry, and I agree with you, there is no other choice.

We have a 2010 Montana 326RLT. It has the wsher/dryer cabinet in the front bedroom beside the closet. We're just using it now with shelves for storage. How much weight does the single washer/dryer add?

I was told that some of these units vent thru the drain. Is that the same as the units you refer to as "weren't vented"?

I was told by a dealer that my washer drain emptied into the black tank. Is that where your's drain? How much water drains into your tank per wash load? We use enzymes in our black tank. Don't know if the enzymes will still work if I started adding laundry detergent to the mix. By adding that much additional water to the black tank, seems like I'd be emptying it a lot oftener and using a lot more black tank addative whether enzyme or deoderant.

Our washer empties into the gray tank. We use the enzymes in our black tank. And, yes - The dryers that vent into the drain are referred to as "unvented." My recommendation is to steer clear of them. We did't like ours at all and traded it out for the vented unit in our first Montana.

vented means the unit is vented to the outside via a vent in the Rv wall. Ours is vented to the outside and drains directly into the sewer line.

"Splendide offers a choice of vented or ventless (Comb-o-matic) models. While all Splendide models wash clothes in exactly the same way, their drying techniques are very different. Splendide vented models work great in applications where space is limited and the machine can be installed against an outside wall and vented directly to the outside. However, if outside venting is not easy or not even an option, Splendide's ventless (Comb-o-matic) model is the perfect solution.
