Galley dump valve-help!!
I have a 2008 Montana 3400RL. This my first trip. Can someone please tell me where the dump valve is for the Galley tank? My status lights show that it is full; but, I don't know how to empty it.
Thanks for any help,
Buddy McFarland

It is ether between the wheels on the roadside or in front of them.

Buddy, welcome to the forum. Ours is between the wheels on road side. After you crawl under the slide and operate it, you may want to get another awning rod so that you can reach it with the rod without crawling under the slide.

Thanks hookman, you have been a lifesaver. I found it right where you said it would be, between the wheels on the road side. It looks like our RV dealer missed telling me about this. Again, thanks a lot for your very fast and accurate reply.

Thanks boylanag, I found it right where you and hookman said it would be, right between the wheels on the road side. This has been a real lifesaver for me. Thanks again for all your help.

We have learned so much from this forum. When we first joined we had electrical problems 200 miles away from home. The answers came from other MOCers and we were on our way. Hope to see you at the 2008 MOC Fally Rally in Goshen, IN in September. - Jim

The galley tank valve question is getting to be the most common question for new owners of 3400 and 340RLQ. Maybe they should put a small sign between the gray and black tank valves to give directions. Welcome to the forum.

I finally painted the galley pull handle "white" so that it was easier to find. What a terrible place to put that pull!!!

Hey thanks Oldguard for the tip of putting a lock nut on the galley tank dump handle. This seems like a really good fix.

Hey Buddy,
Made our 1st trip this weekend as well in out 3400RL, the only reason I found the dump valve is that I knew there was one so I started crawling, by the way this forum (Phill & Gladys) saved me as well the weekend. Could not find the water heater bypass valve, with a little encouragement from phill I found it much the same way, just started unsrewing any thing remotely close to the heaters location...by the way our son just moved to Choochooville and works for Channel 3. Hey Steve (FLSTS03) what's your sons name, we will look for him? What kind of auto stabilizers do you have on your rig?

Steve glad we could be of help. That is what MOC is all about, those that have something in common say for instance a Montana helping others. For some reason those of us who have been in a Montana for at least a week, know more about them than the saleman who sold it to us. Go figure. So while we are trying to figure out where the dump valve for the gally tank is, and what the heck is the blue coil hose for and where are the valves for just putting one of the slides in or out or hot to turn the electrical switch on for the hot water - the salesman is off counting his comission money. I think if you have a problem just post it on here and there is more valuable information than you can shake a stick at. It is even possible someone might even express an opinion all though that rarely happens as evey thing posted on here is factual
