Apollo Mounting?

I brought the trailer up to the farm for a couple of days. When I arrived I noticed the apollo oven had slid back in cabinet on one side. The side closest to the kitchen sink was way back behind the facing. The other end was still out like it should be. I didn't take any rough roads. I have highway all the way to the farm and a smooth shale road to the farm where I park for weekend get-a-ways.

How is this thing mounted back in there?

Is it just sitting in a hole? I have been planning to put a shelf above the oven for some time but now I may have to go ahead to see what is going on in there.

Ozz you have pulled one of these things out...What did you find holding it in?

I pulled on the side near the sink and it made a pop and was back in place.

TIA!
Phil

Phil,
The oven sits on small leg holders only. Gravity is all that holds it down. I would think if it becomes problematice, one of those television straps could supplement gravity. When you remove the Apollo from the cabinet, you actually have to lift it to gain clearance from the small leg holders.

Bingo is correct, all that holds it down is gravity. The small legs sit in a groove in a plastic mount. You might think that you did not hit a spot rough enough to move it, but it does not take much to make it move. I replaced mine with a different microwave and while I had it out I mounted two eye-ring type screws and during the reinstallion process I slipped a bungee cord over the top to hold pressure against it. It does not move now.

What Bingo said is correct. In addition, when ours was still fairly new (i.e. under warranty) the whole inner shelf came loose, causing it to tilt back severely. We called Keystone CS, who directed us to a nearby Everest dealer who took it right in and fixed it better than new, while we went for lunch. This was on a rough section of I-69, not far from Lansing, MI.
