slide room bulge

Outside, my bedroom slide has a bulge on the underside of the slide, on that black material that covers the bottom of the slide that is exposed to the air when extended. The bulge is about on third of the way from the rear edge toward the front. It is both wider and sticks out more nearer the wall of the trailer than out the slide bottom away from the trailer body.

What is it? Should I be worried?

Is it flexible to the touch??

Has to just be air or even water. The black stuff on the bottom is on all the slides and is just glued and stapled. Shouldn't think it's a problem, rather just needs re-glued.

Our bedroom slide has high gloss under it. Think it's a Big Sky thing.

Yes, the bulge is flexible to the touch. Last afternoon, at 95 degrees the bulge was firm to the touch.

This morning at 75 degrees it is much reduced in size, much more flexible to the touch. Indeed, I can push on it and it wants to stick back in place.

Just a glue thing. Thanks for the help!

At one point, all Montanas and Big Skys had the high gloss under the bedroom slide, or at least filon type material. Ours has the filon stuff, not the black. They changed to the black sometime after our unit was built June 2003. Don't know when. One of those running changes.
