Apollo door problem

Tonite our Apollo half time oven door would not latch. I took a look and there is a plastic retainer on the inside side of the door that popped out and broke in one area. It is around the glass portion. Door closed now without this part. Wonder if it is safe to operate this way???

Of course it is the holiday weekend and have to wait till Tuesday to call for help.

That is a common problem and Apollo will send you a new one. Its designed use is as a safety seal to block any micro wave energy from escaping the unit. As you note the micro wave will work , Theoretically you should not use it with the safety device removed ..however for a short time I would just stand away from the unit when in use..There is not that much energy there in the first place. However..if you note you are growing a 6th finger or you hair, if you have any, is falling out..stop using it.

Rich is correct. We just went through the same thing. Lyn, at Apollo, got the part out to us in a couple of days.
