Rear lit cabinet crown molding

I am in the process of installing a string of LED or white incandescent lights behind the kitchen cabinet crown molding while fixing a string of ivy like garland with it. That will be going in shortly. The type of lights I install will drive which type of power I use but in any case there will be a switch or remote to turn the lights on and off.

This is another DW driven MOD Job...!!

I will probably have that done tonight or Monday. We'll see!

I am a pictures kinda guy. My pleasure. Friends of ours wanted to do the same thing but didn't know how to go about it. I promised them photos too. Guess I am on the hook!!

So my DW has decided against the lights. I put a set of battery powered white lights and then a 120V set of "Christmas" lights up above and she didn't like it.... SO... so much for that... For now.

Okay, so I didn't get the back light, but I did get the garland!

Jury is out whether I am in love with it. It is secured with command strips behind the crown molding. Looks a bit better in person than they do in photos...
