New Silverado (bed) Height

I am getting a 2012 2500 HD and the bed is about 1 or 1 1/2 inch heigher than my old pickup. I know there is an adjustment on the hitch on the trailer (I think so anyway), but if I lower the hitch pin, it will raise the trailer front end - right? Does anyone tow with a newer Chevy? If so how is the height issue?
Thanks.

Some new trucks side rail heights are a PROBLEM. Yes, if you lower your pin box it will raise the nose of your 5ver. When I got my new truck (2011Chevy 3500 D/A LB) I checked and my pin box will hit my tonneau cover rail and truck side rail if placed in a 70 to a 90 degree turn. My Companion hitch at its highest position does not cure the problem. I installed a standard pin box so I could use my tonneau, make tight turns and back up on uneven ground. It clears everything to solve the problem-my old pin box was an extended model. Make sure you check it. I wonder how many people will get a new truck hookup and head down the road only to hear the the pin box rip into the side truck rails on the first sharp turn?$$$$$ BTW you can thank Michelle and Ann if this post is helpful as they brought this out in another post I read which made me check mine.

Our 05 3500 4x4 cc drw was too high also- We had an aftermarket set of rear spring shackles installed to level the truck- It has worked out well for us- You might research this approach to solve your problem- This did not affect ride- JMHO- Don
