New Ford broke down
Well; Last Sat the Oct 1, the starter went out of the new truck. We have 10000 miles on the truck, 2011 F250 king Ranch. They hauled to to Canton Ford on a truck. New starter in on Tuesday and on Wed the Fly wheel is bad so emergency to Ford to get a Fly Wheel. Today it came and hope to have it in by mid morning on Wed . I hope that is all that is wrong with it. as we are to leave Waynesville on Thur AM for Dam Neck,Virginia. What more can go wrong ,,,,sailer

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Hope you get going soon. We will be in Waynesville on Sun. 16. If for some unforseen reason you might be still there we will be at Pride Resort. Larry

Sounds like someone didn't tighten the bolts on the starter fully. Have had numerous starters out of 6.0l diesels that come undone, but nothing but good things from the 6.7l diesels.
I'd love to have a new truck and working for a Ford dealer gets me "special pricing " but they are still a huge chunk of change....
Enjoy your truck.

Hi John, Ford bashing time !!!! Never happen from me, its really frustrating to have a new Truck brake. I only buy GM Trucks but I can assure you it happens. Glad Ford is trying to correct the issues and you will be back on the road again.. Good Luck and Happy Trails....
P.S. I just picked up my new 2012 Chevy 3500HD DRW's yesterday and hope it does as good as the 2011 Chevy 3500HD, never any issues but only 13,000 miles since May 27th.

Good luck on repairs John. Ken Wilson Ford has a good rep in the Waynesville NC area and some good diesel mechanics as well if ever needed.
Hope you're back on the road safely soon.

Have never seen a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge dealership with an empty service shop. They must all have issues from time to time. That's why we have warranties. Or maybe I am wrong. Maybe all those Chevy and Dodge shops are full of Fords getting repaired.
