How to Control the Hydraulic Slide Outs
Although we got a orientation to our new 3400RL, I can't seem to remember what the guy said as far as how to have only certain slide outs extend. I know where the controls are and that they are labeled "Main", "Bed," "Kitchen" "Opposing." (Not sure of the order of these however.) I also know there is a knob (screw knob) for each one, but I'm not sure which way to turn it and how much. (Don't want to mess it up! ). I know when I push the extend slide out switch, ours come out in this order 1) Bedroom slide, 2) Kitchen slide 3)Desk area slide, and finally 4) Table/sofa slide. What is the "Opposing" slide??? The order of the knobs (left to right) does not seem to be in the order the slides come out. We would like to be able to put out the kitchen and Table/sofa slides only some times when we stop at a rest stop.
Thanks for any help.

I believe it is righty tighty close fluid flow, lefty loosey open fluid flow. I have not tried this on mine yet so wait and see what others say first. I also don't believe that you could hurt anything either, either it will open or it won't.

Correct, right to tight and shut off flow. Finger tight should do it.
Bed, kitchen (main? and opposite). The main could be the couch side or the entertainment side. You will have to shut down the other slides and see which one works.
Just listen to the pump and release the rocker as soon as the pump motor loads down.
Watch your slides closely. We had a kitchen slide catch on the top and start out at a bad angle(top in).
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

I believe that you would tighten clockwise all of the screws except for the "Main" to get the results you desire. Try it. You can close all of them and then only open the valve for one and extend the slides. You can definately figure out which is main and which is opposing if you do this and if you got the wrong one no biggie. You should be able to tell and let go of the switch before the slide moves more than a few inches out.
My guess is the main is your table/sofa and opposing is the desk. Kitchen and Bed are obvious.

Where you have two slides opposite each other, usually the DR/sofa slide is considered the MAIN, and whatever is opposite, is considered the opposing. The slides will open and close in order of least resistance.
Also, make sure you keep the mechanism clean and properly lubricated.

I believe this is the contol panel your talking about...
Bed is Yea Bed Room
ODS is Opposite Door Side AKA TV/Entertainment slide
DS is Door Side AKA Living Room Slide
Aux is Yup Aux AKA Kitchen
Turn the selector knob(s) clockwise to about the 7 o'clock postion to keep that slide from coming out. You will feel it tighten at about that postion.
One thing i found out thanks to a trucker screaming on the radio. Before you travel, put ALL the selector knobs to 12 o'clock and press retract till you hear the pump labor down a little.
If you don't, you might have one of the slides that is "Turned Off" start to creep out and hopefully some nice trucker will alert you on the radio..

I have a 3400RL (Supposedly 2008 Model) and it has the valve twister knobs in the front battery compartment. For what you want to do, close the main and opposing.
HOWEVER, when I want just the bedroom and kitchen open, I just extend until only those two are open and stop the action just when the kitchen slide "bumps up." When I'm ready to close, just hit the Close switch ans the close in the same order, BR, KT, Ent, Main.
When in the driveway and the wife's car is going in and out of the Garage, I open all slides, then close BR, KT, Ent until the Ent just "Bumps up. Now I have full access to the living room (Dog house!)
