That is exactly what I did!!!! It is very annoying, specially in the bedroom.

That’s why I switch to low fan at night. It doesn’t cycle on and off other than the compressor coming on when the thermostat requires it. The fan running all the time just becomes “white” noise.

I think this is normal behavior. You might want to read the user's guide for your thermostat. It may be just shifting to low fan when it's getting close to the desired temperature.

We had this trouble too. After switching the bedroom AC to high at night, rather than auto, we haven't had any problems.

We were told by a tech that in warm weather not to use the low cycle. Supposedly it doesn't use enough air to circulate and can freeze the AC. They recommended only using it on High or auto.

We also have a 2018 3731FL that does the same thing when in Auto mode. We were advised to turn the fan to High and haven't had the problem again. It actually works out well to have the fan on consistently- especially while we sleep- because it drowns out any outside noise.

Have you done the mod to your return air ducts yet? Are you in CFP? We are on #80.

Same Issue

We have a 2017 3820fk and we have the same issue. I mounted a small thermometer next to the thermostat and it sometimes drives the temp down to 5 or 6 degrees below the setting before shutting down. But the cycling on off is annoying. I have taken back three times complaining and they tell me there is nothing wrong with the unit. I thought the thermostat was too sensitive but they checked it as well and blessed it as good. Hopefully, I have it on record under warranty if it ever quits.

Can't be good on the fan motor, starting up so much.

Yes we are on #159, glad you made it back, will swing by one afternoon and see you guys. My ductwork is not collapsed. Cooling seems to be good and you can feel the air flow. It pretty much has to be something in the thermostat cutting the fan motor off/on. The compressor continues to run until the thermostat is satisfied.

I have a 2018 3121RL and experience the same problems. I took it to CW and they kept it for 10 days and told me they couldn't find any problem. Now my rear A/C thermostat is on Celsius and I can't find any info on how to switch it back. The user guide doesn't mention it and Dominic website is a joke, unless you are willing to pay to chat with a tech. Help!

One note on Roanoke CW. The folks there are very nice and friendly and seem to be interested in helping but I don't think they have qualified service technicians. From previous posts I think this is a problem industry wide.

Touch the up and down arrows at exactly the same time and it will change back to F. The problem is you can switch it back simply by brushing your shoulder against it. You know how I know.

Thanks for the info. Our user's guide and their web pages seem pretty lame. I got ours on C* while trying to figure out why the temp display was rolling all over the place and changing by magic to heat, cool, etc. Not sure what all that was about.??? But to the OP, setting on high fan solved the fan on/off cycles.

Lame user guide says "in the unlikely event you experience a system failure, refer to the "SERVICE" section of the operating instructions furnished with your unit" All I got was a warranty page and user guide. The user guide on their web page is for a different stat.

So here’s some info for you, Dometic has recognized the problem and made a change to the faceplate. Has to do with the touch zones and how it makes contact. Word is they will send replacement faceplates.

I've also found that if you take the cover off the thermostat and don't snap it back on perfectly straight something on the little touch pads gets caught (or something) and the rolling starts. Take the cover back off and try and push it on exactly straight. Anyway it has worked for me.

If the user guide doesn't work and you can't find your answer here, I recommend YouTube. I think you can find the right YouTube video for almost anything these days.

Can you elaborate on that info? What change have they made, and how can we get the "new and improved" faceplates???
