Yellowjackets in your front storage compartment?

I have had issues with Yellowjackets building their nest in my front storage compartment and my propane bottle compartments. These are open to the outside and the wasps really like the covered and protected enclosure. I can't say I blame them. I found a solution I would like to pass along.
I buy 3 of the Hot Shot Pest Strips off of Amazon. They are bit over $6 each and they last an entire season. Simply hang one in each of the compartments that are open to the outside. Problem solved! No wasps, no spiders, no anything!

Yes, they work good for mud dabbers also.

Another "trick" would be to hang or lay flea collars in those areas, especially around propane sources. I.E. propane tanks, water heater, furnace. Just write the date on the collar so you know when to change them out.

Another "trick" is a couple of moth balls in a prescription bottle with a couple of holes punched in the lid. Place in the same locations as previously listed. One problem with the moth balls is the smell may seep into the unit.

Either one keeps all kinds of critters away.
