new for us

We joined this forum a little while ago, made a few posts, but never got around to the introduction, so here goes. We picked up our used 2010 3665 about a week ago in Muskegon, Mi.. We spent 3 nights camped at the dealer waiting on that wild wind to die down. Got back home Thurs. night. This is our first fifth wheel and so far we just love it. We previously had a 26' travel trailer that burned to the ground Aug 1st. My wife, Beckie, retired from USPS a year ago. I retired in Sept. after 31 yrs. fighting fires. Our standard poodle Koko travels everywhere with us. We live in N.E. Ohio and pull our Montana with a 2011 Ram 4x4 dually crew cab. Just ordered Firestone Ride Rite air bags for it. We're impressed with this board's friendly members and great source of info.

Congratulations on your new rig. We have a 2009 3665RE and love it. We've made quite a few modifications to it over the last two years. If you're interested, I can share some of the more important ones (in my opinion) with you.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you can do some significant long timing if not full timing. You are retired, got the rig, got the truck. Go see America! We have been in 45 of the 48 Contiguous states and parts of Canada since March 2007. There is lots to see and do. Happy RVing............

Thanks for the kind words. We're looking forward to lots of traveling, seeing our great country. Jim and Vickie, we'd love to hear of your mods. We have a few planned already but getting the time for it, you know being bow season and all. Gotta get our freezer filled for the year.

Welcome, and congratulations on the Monty. Just returned home Sunday, a week ago, after a four day trips with ours. Now I'm in South Carolina, at my hunting camp trying to get my freezer filled. We are two and half months into the season and only one deer down so far.
