Deer Run Resort, Crossville, TN
We liked it so much the first time through we decided to stop again.
It's a Passport America CG so the Sun-Thur PPA rate is $14.50 with tax.
We are in the back area, site 332. It's an end site and lots of room. The site we had last time and I higly recommend is 331. Talk about space, it's almost private.
25 acre lake, swimming pool, all the amenities. From the front (security) gate to the 300 series sites is about 1 mile at 10 MPH
Tennessee ARVC Campground of the year 2007-2008.
About 5 miles off of I-40 in Crossville, TN.

Wayne-
We're in site 301 until mid August (the Big Sky). Not the best site to have, but we had to reserve for 2 months so had to work around other short reservations.
Let's get together if you get a chance! I'm currently in Nebraska until 8/4, but my wife (Sandy) is there most of the time. If you see the white Dodge, she'll be there.

Aw shuck mike! I saw the Big Sky but never made it by that way. We sort of pulled in and pulled out the next morning. It was a one nighter. I did see the truck there. There was another Montana Mountaineer next to us, John Brooks. I gave him a card. I was going to walk over the the Sky and give a card, but guess I didn't have to. We were in site 332. The one we really like is 331, but it was taken until the 26th. I did not read this until today. Really sorry we missed saying hi to Sandy.

Sorry we missed you Wayne! We were finally looking forward to hooking up with another MOC member, but maybe next time.
We bought a stick house in Fairfield Glade this summer so we'll be there every summer from now on. Please let us know when you're coming thru again and we'll plan on getting together.

Dave,
I'm not Mike, but I have it as 113 miles center to center.
Memphis to Crossville is 324.
We made the Memphis to Crossville on one run and it was a haul, like about 50 miles more than I like to do, but it is doable.

Thanks, Wayne. After I asked about the mileage, I thought I should look it up myself. I see it is 89 miles from Asheville to Gatlinburg and then 113 miles to Crossville. Then 114 miles to Nashville. That is real nice spacing. That I-40 run through "The Gorge" (NC/TN border) takes us a little while, though. Cheryl will not let me chase those truckers through those tunnels for some reason. Go figure...
