Hummmmm. He said there were two verses but he sang the 4th verse. The other verses were never forgotten they have always been there but only the first verse is sung. It would take awhile to sing all four verses. We had to learn all four verses in elementary school but that was back during WWII when folks felt a lot different about being a American.

thank you so much for that input. I always start my holiday shows with the posting of the Flag, by a Veteran, with the Pledge off Allegiance, followed by God Bless America, and recognition of all Veterans. It make for a very touching opening, and being a softie myself, always have to open the show with an instrumental, as I can play with tears coming down my face, but can not sing. By time we get thru the instrumental I have my act back together and can continue the show. They will never take that privilege away from me as long as I'm able to perform shows.
