Drawers and cupboards opening

After just traveling on what seemed like some of the worst roads in the country I am wondering what some of you use to secure your cupboards and drawers? After traveling down these roads it's evident that the factory latches do not keep all drawers secure. Thank goodness my wife double-checked before we opened our slide-out! It would have done severe damage to a couple of cupboard doors that opened up while underway.

When possible we use velcro straps to hold them shut. When there is only a single handle available we add a magnetic catch to that door or drawer.

Use rubber wire holds where I can. Had a cabinet open and didn't know until I hear the sound. Ripped it off the hinge. Fixed it and lucky in a corner you really can't see.

I use these. Once installed, they are hidden from view and your cabinets are locked securely. Opens with a magnetic key. No unsightly exterior devices.

One of the drawers in our pantry came out and twisted right off the roller guides. Used to tie opposing doors closed with child locks or bungee cords but can't do that on all of our doors/drawers due to location. This summer I replaced some of the drawer glides with sof close, added magnetic locks and replace hinges with spring loaded. Will see how that works on our Snowbird trip down south. It now takes an effort to open the doors and pull out the drawers so I think we should be ok. Due to cost I only replaced the problem ones but may over time switch everything over. Got all the parts at HD.

Check the clips that Keystone installed to keep the drawers and doors closed. We only had one that would come open and it turned out the clips were misaligned. Moved it over to line them up correctly and have had no problems since.
