New window for super-slide, 7" longer
We have a reclining love-seat in the super-slide, when reclined, I can't see out of the window. I can barely see out when sitting up.
So... I had a window made, same width, but 7" longer, also it is a vertical slider, original was a horizontal slider.
The new window is a Insulated, screened, tinted window.
Took a few days of plotting and scheming, but about 1/2 day to change-out.
I love the new window. I did have to re-work it, as the window did not open high enough by about 3". It does now....

Making a big mess...

Nice job!!
Looking at the slides made me think of my dad ... he used to move walls inside our house when I was a kid. He made that house just the way he wanted it.

Are you doing that in the park while in Las Vagas? Linda and I will be their tomorrow afternoon and will try to find you to say hi and have a look at your handy work. You are still in the LV RV Resort correct?

Wow, Ozz. When you get tired of these onesey, twosey type of fixes in your rig and start your own RV company and then have the factory so things are built the way they should be done, can I be your first customer? I'm sure I won't be your last. I just hope I can afford what you deliver.
Ozzsome RV. That could be the name cuz they would be pretty awesome.
And think of the partner/investors you could have from the MOC. There are lots of talented people in here who could teach these young factory assemblers a thing or two.

I take it you're not on full-timing vacation-like trip, unless this is a WORKING vacation! Very nice job, Ozz. I wish the side windows in our slide were taller or longer, too; when sitting on the sofa, you can't see much except the sky. I like to see what's going on at street level.

Thanks folks.
Carolyn, this is one more case where you can tell the designers and builders travel in a class 'A', not one of their own builds. If I were the CEO of any of these RV builders, I would require the dopes that build these and design them to live in one for a year. I bet they would have a nifty solution for the 30 amp camping heat as well. If not, I bet the furnace fan would be quiet....
Check the pedestal where you are there in the KOA, does it have a 120 volt outlet on it? If so, see if it is wired into the same circuit, or it's own. If it is a dedicated 120, run an extension cord into the RV and use that for one electric heater.

Nice job, Ozz! Maybe Keystone could use your skills in its design shop...presuming they have such a thing.

I would love to have the those oblong windows they put in the Raptor's kitchen slide that are way up the top of the slide, they let a lot of needed light in the kitchen slides. I asked a rep once about them and they said can not be done. So why is it done is the Raptor?

Oh it can be done... It would depend on the internal bracing as to the placement.

You are going to have to put new decals on your rig that say "Ozztana" instead of Montana! Great job!
