Texas Highway 79

Since I live about 5 miles off Texas Hwy 79 and frequently visit Marquez, Jewett, and Buffalo, I see quite a number of all brands of RV including a number of Montanas and Mountaineers. The locals say that Hwy 79 is winter Texan/snowbird avenue. I am beginning to believe it.

The Branding Iron is a fair greasy spoon. There is a great Mexican food place near the intersection of I45 and Hwy 79 in Buffalo. If I know enough in advance that you are on that trail, we could share a meal or cup of coffee at least.

Yep, 79 is our route to/from the RGV. We came by there a few weeks ago. PadreDW told us that you lived there, but by then we were past you. It is a good route that slips between all the big cities.
