CheapHeat
Has anyone checked into installing the 'CheapHeat' electric heating add-on that is being offered by rvcomfortsystems.com ?
Of particular interest, of course, in a 3900FB, specifically the 2014 model year.
Even though my (private party) landlord has decided I need to chip in for electrical use, this system might be less expensive than my propane bill.
My interest is regarding whether anyone has installed it or at least measured the furnace compartment space to see if it would fit.

Price may have come down, but didn't make economic sense when I looked at it.

Eight months ago, I figured break-even point would be about 25 years. Don't think I'll be driving (or camping) then.

May not make any more sense than solar in SW Washington but I've got solar anyway. If I return to using my membership campgrounds, my membership provides the power for free so it will definitely make sense.

You'd need a heck of a lot of batteries to use that furnace with solar.

At 600 amps I should get at least 5 minutes, even on a cloudy day (maybe).

The install is technical and time consuming, if you pay for it expensive. A great product, but should be offered as an extra on new units. The guy asked me to do the K.C. installs, not enough money in it for an installer, plus you would need a place to do it, I don't have that.
