One simple threaded nut, 1 1/2 hour repair
On our 3750 the dump valve handles are located in a separate compartment where the sewage hose is stored. So, we arrive at he campground (yayyyyy!) and i begin the process of flushing the pink stuff by opening the dump valves, well almost, except for the black tank. The handle and entire assembly are lying in the compartment since the backer nut has decided that it no longer needs to provide it's service. Of course, all needed tools are at the s&b so after a one- hour round trip to get them, repairs can commence. A small section of the lower panel is loosened to allow access to the edge of the underbelly. Hoping for a quick solution did not work out since the nut decided to migrate itself towards the middle of the rig via the dump cable. A couple three foot parallel cuts to the underbelly allowed the nut to be located and slid to the end for reattachment to the handle casing. A gorilla tape repair (always have gorilla tape on board) and reattachment of the underbelly and side panel and we are as good as new. Simple problem, drawn out solution, but we are camping! Then after feeling energetic after solving this minor problem, decided to get up on the roof for Maxair vent cover installation. All is good in the hills, we are camping!!

The simple ones are the ones that always get you. The major problems you know are going to be a hassle, but the simple ones lull you with a false sense of security, then jump up and yell "Gotcha!".

This is normal. With all RVs, it either: just broke, you just fixed it, or it's getting ready to break.

Pretty astute observation Jim! Repairs are normal and I would not know about the needed repairs if we weren't camping! All is good, campfire is bellowing toxic smoke, garish globe lights are illuminating half of the campground, girls are inside parked in front of the Directv fed big screen, Dw and i are sitting by the fire! Camping! Doesn't get any better!

Oh my. In the hills of West Virginny? I hope camping is the only thing you experience. I've been to the movies and the happenings in them Appalachian Mountains can be downright scary.

If you didn't replace the plastic T handles you pull to open the valves, put it on your to do list. Mine broke within 6 months of use. I replaced them with metal ones I fabricated. Of course next time, and there always is a next time, it will just be something else.

I don't know about the rest of you but when I got my Monty I told my daughter we are going camping this weekend. My daughter promptly said "Dad this is NOT camping" and this coming from her was quite a statement. But I still say we are camping, but its in a condo setting..lol
