Touchup Paint for 2015 Montana

Has anyone had any success in finding touch up paints for the standard 2015 colors, not the full body paint option. The front and rear caps on our 2015 are painted and I wants to stay on top of rock chips. I called Keystone and they were incredibly useless, she kept telling me that I had a black and tan color scheme and I kept telling her that I did not have the full body paint option, she just was not listening.

I called the Montana group of Keystone to get the info on touch-up paint for our full paint Big Sky and I was told that it wasn't paint. How I got the paint numbers was Keystone had to replace the entry door under warranty and the dealer had to have the blank door painted to match the coach. I had the dealer get the paint info from the body shop that painted the door. Good luck with Keystone...take it to a body shop and have them paint match it.

It's interesting that Keystone would blow an owner off like that. The good news is that almost any body shop will be able to match an existing color, just like the big box and paint stores do if you bring in a chip. It's one of the positive things about having computers & stuff!

Keystone does not paint the RV's or produce the paint. Maple City paint in Goshen painted my 2013 Big sky and as long as Maple City had the paint in stock we got it from them at every fall rally. Keystone stopped using a couple of the colors and Maple city no longer stocked the color so of course could not give it to us. The color can be mixed at most any body shop we got ours from Sherwin Williams. It was not cheap.

So Rich, why can't Keystone Montana customer service or our dealers provide that informations when we ask? After all we are putting out some big money on these Big Sky coaches and other painted rigs that you would think that they would want to provide the best customer service they could so we would come back and purchase our next RV with them.

Found a automotive paint shop in our area who came out to the trailer with some sort of color matching camera and within 2 hours they made the two touchup paint colors that I needed.

Thanks for nothing Keystone, some of your decisions on how you define service after the sale leaves a lot to be desired. With all the beating on the road the trailers take you can't even help us out trying to keep them looking good?

There was a tag in our 2013 Big Sky that indicated who painted it and all the paint codes. I just figured that the place to go for touch up paint was the shop that painted it. I never asked Keystone.

When I had the paint codes that were provided by the shop that painted it we went to Sherwin Williams and our local auto repair shop to ask if they could match it and they both could. We are fortunate enough to attend the fall rallies and Maple City the shop that did the paint is just right down the street from the factory so we went there and got the touch up paint free of charge as long as they had the color in stock. Some things we can figure out on our own.

Rich, Where did you find that tag? So far I haven't found anything like that on our BS.

Thanks Rich...I will look again to see if I can find it. I know it is not on the entry door because they replaced that the first year.
