Went to pick up my shade today and wanted to check contents of the tube it came in. Glad I did as the mounting hardware was missing. No screwws, no molly rivets and no bottom brackets to secure the shade. Dealer called Carefree and they asked him to submit a warranty form. Whatever happended to: "Sorry about that we will get a hardware package in the mail today". They claimed they were doing too much by verbal orders and needed to get a handle on these types of things. No real problem as I have plenty of time to get the parts in and get it installed, after all, what is a retired guy to do.

FINALLY Installed my Carefree Sunshade today on the rear window. I ended up using the rivets for the top brakcets and a rivet and a screw on each of the bottom brackets. Real nice to look out and have no one looking in. I highly recommend it for those of you looking for advice....

My wife tinted ours with some kind of material (smoke tint) that is supposed to keep the heat out. I don't know if it does or not but I do know that it does some preventing of being able to look in from the outside.

We just had camping world install a carefree sun shade. It looks nice. Unfortunately, the tube the shade came on is warped and carefree is giving camping world a problem with a reorder. The warping makes the shade bind several times on the way down and it will not retract. Hopefully, they will resolve the issue soon. It's almost time to hit the road again.

I have heard that about Carefree. When we ordered ours it was shipped without the hardware package (screws, rivets and bottom shade holders). When the RV Shop called them to request the hardware package they were told to submit a WARRANTY CLAIM, can you believe that. RV guy was livid but did fax them a warranty form and they sent the package to them. I hoped this was an isolated incident as I want to order the electric awning arms from them but not sure I cold deal with a company like that. I KNOW OTHERS HAVE HAD BETTER LUCK, THIS HAS JUST BEEN OUR CASE.
