Scare light
My Scare lights will not turn off. The red light is on but the switch is in the off position.
Please help

When I disconnected my battery the lights went out. Since I'm on shore power the switch works correctly. Any suggestions?

Check the remote control - see if it is turned on there. I think the remote overrides the switch.

If it was turned on with your remote it MUST be turned off with the remote.

It seems to be a common problem and the remote has always been the cause.

This is one of the common things that comes up always. Forum needs a separate listing where these known issues are displayed for new folks...instead of waiting for one of us to give them an answer. John

We didn't get a remote to control any of the functions of the 5er itself with our 2015 305RL. Should we have gotten one?

No, they seem to be discontinuing them on the newer models probably because they caused a lot of issues and some folks like us put them in a drawer and forgot them.

none with our 2015 3582RL. But I don't know about the HC as I thought the Montana's don't have them in 2015???

Made an overnite stop on the way south last winter. Got up in the AM & both scare lights were on, with the wall switch off. Went to the remote & couldn't turn them off, took the battery out of the remote, still on, disconnected the shore power & also disconnected the trailer batteries, still on. finally unplugged the seven pin connector from the truck & they went out. Thought we were haunted.

Probably depends on when during the model year the rig was built.

When I bought my 2014 I was told they discontinued the remote because of all the problems customers were having with them. I think Keystone wanted to save money is the reason they discontinued. I have never heard anybody complain about the remotes, just the opposite, they all seemed to like the remote.
