Oven won't stay lit

I have only used the oven in my old Montana 2 or 3 times and not at all in my new one (18 months old). So I finally got it to light after holding flame under pilot about 30 seconds.
Started up oven and it burned pretty good but went out after about 5-15 minutes. So I started the pilot again - this time only about 5-10 seconds to light. Kind of the same thing - ran fine for about 25-30 minutes and went out.
I can't figure out why this would happen. The surface burners light and burn fine.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a bad thrmocouple. Never replaced one on the RV oven so can't speak how to do it. They are pretty easy to change on water heaters and older residential gas ovens. Perhaps someone will be along to explain how they accomplished this task. Jim

You might check to make sure the flame is in good contact with the thermocouple. It could be that the mount is bent a little and the flame doesn't always hit it right, other wise on ours it looks like it could be a job.

You might want to check the connections, a loose thermocouple or loose pilot tube will cause that

This happened to us the first day of our Yellowstone vacation last year. Getting a thermocouple last Spetember was not an option in West Yellowstone and it was on back order. Replacing it was not difficult but I had to take the screws out of the side of the stove attaching it to the counter so I could it it forward to get the long thermocouple wire out from the oven. The part was about $35 and can be ordered from several places. I searched the part on line and then on line RV parts stores. If you need more details PM me and we can talk over if you give me a number.
