Remote thermostat receiver reset?

Figures it would happen on one of the hottest days of the year. This 2005 has one of the infamous Dometic remotes for heat/ac. Got back into the coach this afternoon and it was hot inside. Both the AC and Furnace are inop as well as the remote wall receiver.

There are two buttons on the receiver for emergency heat/cool and the receiver is dead. None of the LED's are on. The breaker for the AC is on and didn't trip. It just appears that this wall mount remote gave up the ghost as it controls both the AC and Furnace and both AC and Furnace are now dead. Any workarounds or hidden resets on this thing? The user manuals are pretty worthless as they just cover the AC and the Furnace as separate units but nothing on the remote receiver. With the manual overrides also dead I'm thinking that maybe the receiver gave up the ghost.

Any ideas?

Have always also had a manual for the thermostat in every rv we have owned. Should be able to get it online. Helps to know exactly what model thermostat it is in order to point you in the right direction. Most of them have a sequence of holding two buttons down while turning power on to the thermostat. On one of my rv's, I had a similar issue caused by 12vdc not going to the unit. Emergency heat mode on a thermostat usually turns on 120vac heat coils in an ac unit IF it has that option, otherwise it does nothing. Sorry, can't be of more help so far. John

After poking around for a bit the wall receiver has a RJ-45 type modular plug on it with the control wire running up to the ceiling. Taking the panel off the bottom of the AC there appears to be an electrical control unit visible after taking the interior vent off. The cable from the remote runs into a plug on this unit. The unit is a duo-therm 59516. So it seems to me either the remote receiver took a dump or most likely something in this electrical control unit. Still trying to figure out if there is some sort of a reset on it.

I found the problem. Cottin pickin mouse!! I've had a couple of mice lately and have caught three so far. Got one bugger when I came back to Monty today. Apparently one of the buggers got into the ceiling. He chewed through one set of the 28ga wires in the cable run but not both. And thank God that he chewed right where the remote cable snakes into the ceiling from the AC unit. I spliced a jumper into the cable and it's up and running and pumping out cold air. Glad this isn't a digital unit. LOL These older analog controls are a little more forgiving. I have an extended warranty for this coach but I don't think they would cover a mouse chewing a cable so I'm thankful for some troubleshooting skills and that the mouse chewed the cable where he did. Now I can enjoy the ball game.
