"Welcome Home" light switch
Has anyone had a problem with the switch in the entry door aka
"Welcome Home Lighting" I keep blowing fuses and the only thing
I can think of is that round swith in the door jam.
Any help would be great, We have a 3400 RL 2010.

I'd pull the round switch on the door jamb and make sure the contacts aren't grounding against anything. I cannot understand why Keystone would put a POS switch like that where it is for that function. A weatherproof microswitch would do the job just fine and make the door much easier to close.

We have a 2010 3150RL with the same switch. I have blown two fuses but only when I push it in manually so the end of the switch is flush with the door frame. The biggest issue I have with it is sometimes it sticks and pushes the screen door so the door is hard to close or open. Vaseline (all I had at the moment) seemed to help with the binding. I'm debating to just remove the switch. If I have problems again that will probably be my fix. The tech that did our walk-around wasn't too thrilled with this switch either.

As states above the switch is very cheap and needs lube. When I investigated my problem I found that Keystone was very careless and left sharp metal edges around the holes drilled. This could be part of your problem.
I didn't like the idea of the interior light coming on every time we opened the door so I installed a toggle switch just inside the door that allows me to choose if the door switch works.

Well, as you have all suspected it is the switch in the door jam.
My repair guy says he can't believe Keystone would use a metal
switch and actually found a arc spot on the switch itself and one
on the door frame.
Thanks for the replies, its always good to know your NOT alone!!!

A-ha!! Glad that you were able to track it down. I'm not at all happy with the door jamb switch and am plotting to replace it with a weatherproof micro switch after camping season this year. Doing mods gets me through the "Off Season" as I'm not retired just yet. Plus it improves the quality of our rig.
