Need "Bear" Decal for Front of 2005 3400RL
Hello all. We are purchasing a 2005 3400RL from a dealer in beautiful condition. It comes with set of brand new replacement left and right side decals which the dealer will put on for us at no extra charge. The "Bear" front decal, which I've never seen on any other Montanas, is cracking badly and there was no replacement included. Does anybody have a resource for finding this front "Bear" decal? The Dealer said if I find it, they'll put it on. Thank you.

It probably is not a Montana decal. It is probably a Silver Back decal. Montana's hand a mountain scene on the nose. I have seen one on this forum with a bear, but don't remember where.

Hook, I think you hit the nail smack on the head!
Several years ago, some members of management wanted to put Cedar Creek decals in my Challenger in jest. In return jest, I stated, "No way! I don't want my unit to start leaking!!" The subject never came up again.

Hook, thank you for the feedback. I was not near my normal computer to upload an image until now.
Below is a black-and-white photo of the “Bear” decal. Are you saying that the top “Montana” part is standard and the bottom “Bear” part is from a company called “Silver”?
In your opinion, has the top “Montana” part been placed higher than normal so that this secondary decal could be positioned?
If the top decal is an official Montana decal, where might I find a replacement for it even without “The Bear”.
We are newbies but learning fast. Thank you for the feedback.
We found this forum because the previous owner had a MontanaOwners.com license plate cover. I wish I could locate them to ask them questions about this nice rig and know the history of it.

Hi
Go to a local company that does vinyl signs and vehicle wraps. They can take a picture of the front of the trailer and reproduce the decal you need.

The bear is from a Cedar Creek Silverback graphic. Like this one.
It should look like this one.

Brett, I would recognize that decal anywhere!! It is for the Forest River Cedar Creek. It was used from about 2003 or 4 until 2010 or 11. Don't recall exact times. But, I issued many authorizations to have that decal replaced due to that very issue!
Man! That brought back memories. Now, I'm going to have nightmares!

Hi Dale and Bill, Thanks for replying to my post. So you think the “Bear" graphic I’ve shown is a Cedar Creek decal, eh? Is that unusual for someone to mix a Montana and Cedar Creek imagery together? I will see if I can just get the Montana emblem put back on. IS there a rule about only putting a 2005 Montana decal on, or am I to put whatever year of decal I want on there? Thanks, Brett

I knew I had seen this rig before! It used to belong to Jim & Kathy - Navigator (1894).
Their Profile picture shows the bear on the font cap. Look at their posting in this topic. http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=37526
Their Profile entry is at http://montanaadministrator.forumco....isplay&id=1894 You might try emailing them and see if the address is still valid. A PM is another approach but if they no longer logon here they will never see it.

Looks like Navigator has not posted in a couple years so I would guess they are no longer active on this forum.
If you really like the bear you might try Forest River and see if they still have those available. That is the only Montana I have ever seen with mixed graphics. Never paid any attention to other brands.
I don't think you can get the original Montana graphic to match the upper part. But there is no law that says you can't use a later version. Don't know if Keystone would have a problem selling you later model graphics of not.

Too bad you don't know a really talented artist that could paint a custom graphic on the front. Wouldn't have to worry about a decal failing and you sure wouldn't have any problem finding your rig in a sea of RV's.

Navigator's last post was on Oct. 29th, 2013 (related to decals surprising enough) and their last logon was this past Sunday 3/16.

Hi
See my previous post about the companies that do vinyl signs and vehicle wraps. They can reproduce that graphic in a vinyl that will outlast anything you get from the RV manufacturer and in Okeechobee Florida they are not any more expensive and can make the graphic while you wait.

Brett, Yes, that decal was used on Cedar Creeks by Forest River made in Topeka IN. I would bet that you could contact Carmin at Keystone Customer Service and get a new decal for that front cap. May not be exactly the same as the original but, will look good, anyway. Shoot, I even have a couple of black "swoosh" decals I stuck to the old Challenger that came from Cedar Creek just so it matched the old truck better. Now that I have a new white GMC, those decals may need to come off. So, there ya' go. Put what ever decal on there that looks good to you!

Thanks to all for the amazing responses. Also, I entered the previous owners' names in Google and found them at another forum for their new RV. Glad to have found such a supportive group. Hope to meet everyone "down the road"., Has everyone here signed up at http://RVillage.com ?

Nope, but I signed up at the Montana Owner's Club (MOC) years ago and have never had the need to join another forum. The MOC, in my opinion, is the best RV related forum on the web.

I have signed up on the new RVillages. The jury is out if I shall stay there.
IT IS IN BETA.
So, obviously the site will change.
Without some of the proposed changes, I find it less than useful in some areas of their forum.
I also have an issue with some attitudes from some of the developers. I will NOT say more. I don't have to like everyone, I know there are many that find me objectionable!

We've been found! The new owners of our Monty contacted us with help from all of you.
Even though we are no longer owners of a Montana I plan to stay with the forum because it is the BEST!!
