Stabilizing Older Monty's Without Level Up
If you don't have a Level Up system, I would highly recommend the Steadyfast Stabilizer System found at http://www.steadyfast.com/index.html. This was recommended to me by Starmaster on MOC and since installing it has taken almost all of the movement out of the Monty when parked. Fairly easy install, simple to use, and this afternoon we are running a load in the washer and barely notice any movement. As a newbie with less than a year experience in 5th wheels, we were glad for the recommendation and even more pleased with the results.

Steadyfast or JT's are the only way to go ... ditch the tripod or the box of screw jacks placed strategically along the frame. Like you found out, the result is undeniable.

Looking forward to it. SteadyFast is the option on my wishlist. Just wish I could get it soon but too many other things keep coming up and gotta be careful with my income and spending.

We are with you, except we use the JT Armstrong struts. Washer/dryer would shake the whole trailer before. JTs took almost all that shake out. And walking virtually nothing.

I've had Steadyfasts on a previous TT and JTs on our Monty, and they both work very well. Still get a bit of wobble if I don't get most of the weight off the tires, and have a set of alum. jacks for when we're sitting somewhere for more than a few days (getting lazy) - put them somewhere near the wheels and they take care of the bit that's left.
