How to Get the Most out of Your Rally Experience

Things you might not know about the Fall Rally - -

This is a volunteer run event.

Your rally fee pays for the tents, equipment, coffee, ice water, and a multitude of other items.

Tiara RV has in the past and has graciously agreed to feed us again this year, this is not without some considerable expense, and we thank them.

Vendors are offering some great seminars, free to you, and some of them support us as well with donations and great deals, and we thank them.

Your Wagon Master and assistants are freely giving of considerable time and energy to show you a great rally, with classes and fun activities for all, and we thank them.

Other valued MOC members are bringing you classes and fun events to take advantage of, some spending quite a few hours preparing these classes and events, and we thank them.

So come, have fun, learn, step up, volunteer some of your time, bring food and open attitudes to the meet n greet, the wine n cheese, and the pot luck dinners. A few of us cannot feed all of you, in this case it takes an army to feed the army. And we thank you.

See ya at the Rally.

Good post Carol! If it wasn't for all of the volunteers here on MOC that step forward to put this Fall Rally on, it just wouldn't happen! For you "first timers" jump right on in when you read a post on someone needing help during the Rally or if you haven't signed up for bringing something to the Meet and Greet, Wine and Cheese, Potluck Dinner or the Potluck Breakfast just click on the Reply to the Topic and post what you would like to bring. If you haven't signed up for the Amish Dinner, the factory tour or several other of the things taking place and posted already, do so and you won't be disappointed in doing so. As Carol stated "it takes an army to feed an army" and that if definately the truth. We can't feed everyone that comes unless we get everyone that may be coming to bring something. It doesn't have to be a lot or enough to feed all of us but just something that could feed maybe 4-5 individuals and if everyone does this we will have a variety of foods that any casino buffetwould be envious of!
Take care, have a safe trip to Goshen and see you in three weeks or so.
P.. Hey, don't forget to bring some money along so you can buy Raffle tickets for the prizes that will be collected there from around the nation by MOC members in attendance. We get some really nice prizes and well worth the money that you put out if your ticket is drawn.

Carol..that post even gets me more excited for this year's Rally and I appreciate the much needed advice for all the participants. For the first timers you may not realize we have two tents for this Rally and some of the events take place in one or the other depending on class size. Therefore it is important that everyone signs up for the various classes that need a head count so you can be taught in the proper tent.
Each individual needs to participate by bringing foods to the meet & greet and potlucks. Also a lot of time and preparation has gone into the individual craft classes, computer classes, driving schools and luncheon so please take a minute and sign up. You won't regret it!! Have a safe trip and see you in Goshen!
