I bought the Protectall at Plemmons RV in Raleigh, NC. Camping World doesn't seem to carry it. Check your local dealer or RV supply store. Check out www.protectall.com for dealers. There are three of their products I like: Protectall Roof Cleaner, Protectall Roof Treatment, and Protectall Black Streak remover.

I just cleaned and treated my roof this weekend. I put the Antenna up so I could clean underneath it. Let the treatment dry and then took the trailer back to the storage yard. Got home and asked the spouse if she put the antenna down? Ans. No did you?Well you know where this is going, don't you. Went back out to the storage yard to check. The antenna was trash! Bad news;I now need a new head unit and a pair of tube legs; Good news is that they were easy to remove!. We both forgot to check it before moving. Lesson again, checklist, checklist!!!

Saw a fellow camper pulling out today with the antenna up. Couldn't stop him because I was in my underwear. Couldn't dress in time. Hope all went well for him.

We just finished cleaning our roof today, which I had taken a picture of the before. There was SO much mildew everywhere.
I wet the roof(nice cloudy day), and sprayed 75/25% Clorox on a 1/3 of the roof. The black mildew started to turn tan and run all over the place, rinsed that and then washed with powered Spic & Span and some Murphy soap combo.
Then put a good coat of Dicor roof protectant on(gotta get some sponge mops, great idea). Saw some cracks around the antenna, so I filled them in with Dicor lap sealant.
Good for another year now.
Now to wax the beast!!!

I just spent a day cleaning our RV and roof, not fun. But, I was told by someone to try that "30 second" cleaner and I must say it works like a miracle. My roof had a lot of black mold spots covering the entire roof. Sprayed on the cleaner which is pretty much a bleach and TSP mixture. After a few minutes the black spots were gone and the roof looked like new again. Finished off with a conditioner and good to go.

Maybe I'm just justifying my laziness, but I feel that every time you walk on the roof, it's just that much unnecessary wear and tear. maybe I'm wrong, but that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. The black streaks are there anyway, and they come off when I wash the rig.

"Justifying", we all do it, but some more than others. I think you hit the nail on the head. In the years to come, you will see the fruit of your labor (or lack of it). It's your rig and yours to do with as you wish.
