no hot water

I have a problem that I have seen addressed yet.Has anyone had this problem? I have not hot water. There is hot water in the tank, but not hot water coming into thye rv. Not the shower, kitchen,or bathroom.
Any suggestions? Plenty of cold water pressure. My thought is that the supply from the hot water heater must be clogged somehow. I do use outside water filters. I have a 2005 Big Sky model 3670rl. Any idea on how to access the hot water heater?

Sounds like the hot water tank is in the by-pass position. check the valve, or valve, witch ever the case, (some have 1, some have 3) When you see them, you should be able to figure them out. If not, come back to the forum. Hope this helps. Kerry (if I remember correctly, access to the WHT is through the basement storage)

Outlet side of the heater is a check valve that has gone bad. You need to replace it. It's plastic and a new one is metal. That should fix the problem. If you can find them OZZ has posted some pic's that show the valve.

Your water heater should be behind the garbage can drawer.

CHECK VALVE, like Hazmic says, look there, has happened to a number of us. I was actually sitting at the desk when ours popped and totally failed, I could hear it. I knew right away, and Al knew about 30 seconds later!

Thanks for your help. Water heater is under trash can holder. Sure enough, the check valve is bad. Luckily for me I have a friend who is a plumber and has a replacement valve. Thanks again for all your help. I love this forum

The check valve also is available at most all rv dealers should your friend not have one.
