Pulsing Center brake light

This is something to store in the old grey matter for future reference.

On one of the other forums I follow it was noted that if you have a Prodigy brake controller and install a LED center brake light, you may see the light pulse on very dimly every couple of seconds. Apparantly this is caused because the brake controller does a hookup diagnostic every so often when it is powered. Normal filament bulbs take longer to turn on so you don't see the light pulse with the stock center light.

The fix is to put a diode in the brake light line going to the brake controller from the tow vehicle. I have not tried this yet but plan on adding the LED center brake light soon.
