6.0 STARTING PROBLEMS

Just a note for anyone with the 6.0 for engine. If you have a hard time starting the engine after it gets hot it could be an oil pressure problem. It takes about 450 psi to open the fuel injectors and there is an (o) ring in the oil pump that they are having problems with. This bad o ring will not let the pump build adequate pressure when HOT.Mine has been in the shop for over a week waiting on parts.Good Luck!

We had that same problem in early October, with about 27,000 miles on the truck. The Ford dealership in Flagstaff replaced the high-pressure pump and took it out for a test drive. It stalled out on them and they then had to replace the replacement. It has worked fine since then.

Haven't had that problem but will note the info for future reference, just in case. Thanks for the info.
