Where are Bill and Ann
My memory tells me they were supposed to arrive in the RGV about the 12th of November, thought we would hear from them by now. Anyone got any news on them?

The last I heard was "We are moving into a new stickhouse on Oct.31 and will be leaving for the valley on Nov. 8. We should be down there around the 12th.
12th may have been optimistic, but I would have thought that they would be there by now too. Maybe they don't have an internet connection set up yet.

I bet settling into a new house took longer than they expected. Just a guess. Hope all is well.

Here we are! Judy, you were right. Ann wanted another 6 days to put her house together before we left. Left on the 14th and got here on the 19th. Found a new route down and cut another 100 miles off the trip. Only 2100 miles now. Pretty soon we will have it down to nothing. Will stop around as soon as we get this place setup.

Hi Bill, Ann and Mark,
Welcome "home". We are anxious to join you down there, but will have to wait for a bit yet.
No hurry, but when you have a chance, would you mind sharing the details of your route?
Thanks.

John: Do you want a email or do you want me to post it on the forum?
For info: Diesel ranges from 2.49.9 to 2.25.9. The new Flying J down here is 2.25.9 and other stations are at 2.59.9. You know where I am getting my fuel.

I don't mind which you use, it might be of some interest to others, so why not post it here?
The fuel prices seem a bit lower than we encountered on our trip to Gulf Shores,AL a couple of weeks ago. In Gulf Shores we saw prices as high as $3.19, we bought at the local Wal-Mart for 2.99. Flying J in KY was lowest at $2.39.
I wish the Flying J in the RGV was closer to Mission, it is hardly going to be worth the drive to Edinburg unless we are out that way. Prices here also seem to be slowly edging down, Pioneer in town has diesel for C$0.91.9/litre. (=about US$2.79/gal)
Your temp bar is showing the same temp (48) for both McAllen and Kingston. We are showing 44 here, so I hope it is warmer than that in McAllen.

Bill, Ann and Mark, Glad to hear that you have made it to the valley. We are still in Cleveland, Ohio where John had eye surgery on Oct. 21st. Waiting for the OK from his doctor so we can leave here. Weather is getting COLD here and we want to get down to the valley. Hopefully we will be able to leave here maybe the second week in Dec. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Stay safe and warm. Marge

John and Donna: Re the temps. It has been cool down here so the temp bar is probably right. It is supposed to go into the mid and upper 80's for the rest of the week.
John and Marge: When we stayed in Austinburg Flying J we heard that you were going to get 4" of snow on the eve of the 15th and 4" more on the 16th. Did you get it? We hurried out of there and headed south.
I will start a new topic with the route from Cleveland, Ohio south as we cross at a diff. border crossing.
