Winegard Carryout Anser

In the latest Good Sam Highways there is an article about the new Winegard Anser. Larger dish 18" semi-auto, you set elevation. On Dish users it finds sat 72 which is all HD programming. no switching from one sat to another and once locked on you remove power supply, so less cables. Looks like a winner, can also lock on any Dish Sat if needed for line of sight problems. In the Northwest elevation is around 17-19 Deg. for Sat 72. Price was $450 from Winegard, DirectTV is offering $150 coupon if you sign up and buy a system.

I saw that and would have seriously investigated except I just bought a Winegard Carryout and am happy with that. Smaller dish and some other issues, but don't have to set elevation just plug and play.

I have been looking at the carryout also, but was told that there was a delay in changing from one Sat to another. The VuCube I have has to start over in counting up from one to get the next sat. The big advantage of the Answer is that it supports dual tuner receivers, so that the bedroom tv can watch a different channel. Thanks,

The delay in changing of channels on the carryout is so minor you will hardly notice the difference. I have one for a backup now since I also now have the Winegaurd Traveler which is a very good setup. Can you tell, we like our TV .....
