Installing Washer/Dryer in Mountaineer

I'm in Tampa tonight visiting with my daughter. Week before last a Bendix washer/dryer was offered for FREEon the Escapees forum. All you had to do was remove it from an RV. I checked on it and it really was FREE.

I found out the owners were going to be at the Escapees Park in Bushnell, FL which is about 50 miles from Tampa. So, I came down on Thursday, removed the W/D from the owners RV and I am the proud new owner of a Bendix W/D Combination. The unit is in like new condition.

Now the fun part - I'm going to install it in the center of the entertainment center with the W/D facing into the bathroom. The center of the entertainment center will have a solid wall to which I plan to attach an LCD flat panel TV. This will involve removing the current TV and Stereo, building a 3/4" plywood floor inside the cabinet and opening the cabinet to the bathroom and then closing the front with an oak plywood panel. Power, water and the drain will be readily available here.

I'll post pictures to my website as the project progresses.

Lamar - just a little side note here. There is a little bit of vibration when the washer/dryer is spinning. Might interfere with TV watching.

Congratulations on your freeby. Sure hope things go well with the installation. We look forward to your postings of the progress. I have always liked work. I could sit and watch it all day.
