Sofa Air Mattress Repair

Developed a small hole in the air mattress, actually a small slit about 1/8" long where it appeared to have cracked at a place on top where it folds and unfolds. We use it a lot, probably 70 out of the 100 nights we have used the camper. Two young granddaughters bouncing on it I am sure did not help it any.
Tried a vinyl patch, but it would not stick to the fuzzy surface.
Tried Gorilla glue. That worked somewhat, but could not get it to completely seal the hole. And took a long time to dry.
Then in a moment of inspiration, I thought "hot glue gun". Used a mini glue gun to spread just enough hot glue to sufficiently cover the slit. Worked great. No more leak. And it cools and sets quickly so you don't have to wait as you do with a glue or patch.
