Our first big trip

We are leaving Chico, CA going across Nevada on Highway 50 on route to Mesa Verde, CO. First night stay in Austin, NV second in Baker NV third in Green River UT.

Three nights in Mesa Verde then on to Flaming Gorge and on up to Grand Tetons (2 days) then Jellystone Nat'l park (2 days, hope to see Yogi)

Then on to Missoula,MT then SandPoint ID, then back home via Pendelton, OR and Lakeview OR.

All told 16 days and about 3,000+ miles. I will be really glad when I can get more than two weeks at a time vacation.

We were in Yellowstone for a few days last week and left last Sunday. We really enjoyed it and would have liked to have stayed longer. I assume you will enter the park at the south entrance. We entered at the west entrance which has a 12'6" clearance. Our rig is 12'3" high and I was really glad we didn't have the bedroom A/C unit. Even though we had enough clearance, we both held our breath while driving under the entrance. A ranger told us that is the lowest entrance into the park. We stayed at Fishing Hole campground, the spaces are a little tight but it was OK. The nighttime temperatures are a whole lot colder than Chico.
Have a good and safe trip.

Sounds like a great trip. Enjoy. We discovered that the more we used the Monty, the more that we wanted to use it. We are nearing the end of a six week or so trip through Civil War battle sites now and it, too, seems like a short time.
