Looking for a "new" 5ver...Montana or not?

We recently sold our High Country 333DB...nice trailer but the floor plan is no longer ideal for us so...
We're thinking a bit shorter length (30-34 ft.) rear living room model and moving a bit upscale by buying used this time around. Looking for something very well maintained and recent model year (maybe '09-'12).
We saw a NuWa model we liked, but then happened upon the Montana 3075 and liked the large open floor space and bathroom layout.
I can't find any reliable specs for this model though.. any owners that have actual weights on this unit? Also, I see some '09 10th Anniversary Models around. Anyone know what that adds to the spec sheet?
I'm thinking I can tow that with my truck OK, but don't want to go any bigger or heavier than the 3075. Any other ideas are welcome though. Thanks!

Looking at specs on Keystone's site I don't see a single one that doesn't exceed weight limits for a 3/4 ton truck. Keystone list my hitch at 2055 lbs. With that listed weight I exceed GVW and rear axel rating. I do not have generator, level up or anything heavy added. Montanas listed hitch weight are listed several hundred lbs more than Mountaineer.
Some one needs to make a high end unit 34' or less. I don't want a duelly and I would like to be legal. Big 5ers are nice parked but I don't care to pull 7 tons around the country.

Won't argue big verse small as ours is big and not a problem, but I will say that if we ever get another rig it will be another Montana. We looked at many many manufacturers when we bought ours and Montana far and away gave us more bang for the buck.

Ya, going strictly by the numbers I know what you mean. Without rehashing all the arguments pro and con on weight issues I will say this though. The ONLY difference between the 3/4 ton and 1 ton (at least with the Ram) is the rear overload springs (SRW of course). Mine has a different spring pack and Airlift bags so that is irrelevant for me. I have plenty of gearing and power and my tires are rated 3640 lbs so functionally the only diff between mine and a 1 ton dually is the added width and weight carrying capacity of the dual tires. Since the drivetrain is the same I feel as long as I stay within the tires load rating I should be OK within reason. Yes, I understand the whole "legality" issues and, at least for now, am comfortable with my plan.
I believe my previous 5er had about 2400 pounds on the pin and the truck towed it beautifully equipped as mine is.

Mike -
Keystone's website has specs online for their prior models. That should be a good place to start. The weight issue gets testy here so I am not even going to comment on that. Good luck. We just got our third Montana, a 3160. Open floor plan, 35' and I believe 11,500.

Thanks, I looked at their website but didn't see what I was looking for. I will take a closer look...

Mike, The web site specs are useless. My '14 3150RL has a brochure weight of 2,410 lbs pin weight. Loaded for 5 months in S Texas my pin is close to 3,400 lbs.

Has 2nd air, W/D, clothes, a few weapons, ammo, grills, smoker, assorted tools, chairs, ice maker, air compressor, mis camping stuff, all in front of the axles which add weight to the pin.

As mentioned, weight is a issue on this site, and air bags, big tires, do not make you legal. Only overloaded. Yea, it will pull it.

We see Quebec plates in particular pulling big rigs to Florida each year with F150s. Agree with Paul's comments. Despite some recent headaches, Montana is a great brand.

Thanks found the info I was looking for. So I'm guessing your comfortable with your SRW Ram towing the 3160 then? Any idea what your actual pin weight is? Thanks

There is a world of difference in a '06 Ram 2500 and a '13 Ram 2500. Just look in the door jam @ the GVWR plates.

Thanks, already know the differences (no door jams required ). I was just asking more regarding the SRW vs. DRW issue from someone who had one. Since this is my daily driver, I really don't prefer a dually.
I appreciate everyone's opinion though...this has gotten a bit off topic.
I was inquiring about the 3075 model '09 10th Anniversary model. Still looking for a local one to check out in person.

Mike, I have not weighed yet, so I can't tell you my actual weight. I know my 2013 1-ton is more than capable. We do not have a washer and dryer, nor do we have a lot in it. I do know that of our three Montana's that this one fits our current lifestyle best. We live in the mountains, wanted a side aisle, open floor plan, shorter, lighter unit. Take a look at the 3160, by shopping around you can get some great deals. And, the Montana is the only one that comes with the MOC. On this trip alone we have spent time with three different MOC couples. You can save some dollars by going with the residential vs legacy model. But, the legacy adds some of the premium attributes you may be looking for.

Thanks for all the helpful advice and feedback! Tough decision to make.
We are getting close to pulling the trigger on a very nice used Montana located at a dealer not too far from home.
