After hard rain..... Updated

After a hard, blowing rain, my furnace runs the fan, but won't light. Suggestions?

Stiles, I would see if I could blow all the water out. Reason being that on our old TT with a manual lite Hot Water heater, it wouldn't lite after setting up in a pretty heavy rain. Thought maybe the thermocouple had quit, but turned out there was enough water in the burner tube that it would lite. Just a thought.

I asked the dealer today. He said these Atwood furnaces are vulnerable to heavy windblown rain. Water gets into the circuit panel. It can be opened up to blow the water out and dry out the circuit with a hair dryer.

It turns out 12 hours makes a difference. Last night it was not working, but this morning it is.

Isn't that such a great feeling to know that when you need something the most and in the most extreme condition is when it won't work? That when conditions get better, THEN it will work just fine?

On my old coach I had an aluminum plate installed inside the heater door on stand offs, so air could come in around the plate. It kept it pretty dry. I also had a problem with pilot blow out. Solved that too.
