Closet door clips
After years of being super carefull with the closet clips we finally had one break.
At one time, this was a hot topic, especially finding replacements. Tomorrow I'll try the dealer in Mission, hopefully he has them in stock.

See if you can find the new black ones. Work better and more durable!

Will do Chris, I thought there was an improved version but this topic has not been touched in a long while. I couldn't pull up a lot of info with the search function.
Thanks

I have one that is ready to break again for the third time in 4 1/2 years. If they do make a more durable one I will be looking for it this time.

Many times, those little items are a special order. Ask your dealer.

As has been suggested in previous post, place an "O" ring around the mounting screws . The O ring goes between the door jam and the closet latch. This allows more flexibility in latch movement. Bill

I found that two small O rings beneath each screw and compressed slightly by tightening the screws worked well. Tight enough to keep the door from opening during travel but enough play when you open the door the you aren't overflexing the plastic catch. Best wishes, Jay and Kathy

They are on the new Jayco 5ers. If you have a dealer near by they may have some in stock. That's where I got mine. Good Luck - John

We also use 'o' rings and it works very well. Plus, it allows Vicki to open the closet doors. She has some wrist problems that otherwise make that task very difficult for her. I got the o-rings at an Ace Hardware for four cents each. I still have a picture from when we discussed this a year or two ago. The screws in the latch are snugged. The movement you see is courtesy the o-rings and is what makes it easier to operate the latches and what keeps them from breaking.

My opinion-For those who are having trouble or even think you are going to have a problem with the white hard plastic clips, get a set of BLACK clips the next time you go to the dealer. If he doesn't have them, order them. You will thank yourself from then on every time you close the doors.

MOC to the rescue again!!
I replaced the closet door clip today thanks to the generosity of CmdrDewey who gave me some.
We enjoyed our visit with Dave and his wife Kathy. MOC members rule!!

I agree - the black ones are a 100 times better than the clear ones.
