Shower Drainage

Our shower has recently started draining much slower than before. I pulled the drain plug off but no help. I suspect it is clogged. Has anyone tried Liquid Plumber or Drano? And, is it safe on the PVC and tank?

I thought about using a "snake" but the opening looks too narrow to get it past.

Any other ideas? Thanks!

I use a plastic "Zip It" strip found in the hardware store plumbing dept.

The thing looks like a flat white plastic "slim jim"

It has little barbs on it.

It works great and no bad chemicals and easier on pipes than a traditional snake.
