Dometic furnace
My remote control does not appear to work. The wall mount control has the red and green light on. I put new batteries in the remote and pushed the reset button. I can't even turn the furnace on or off. Also there is no beep when attempting to change the temp. Any ideas?

It's crazy but the furnace just beeped and started working again. Maybe it was the wind blowing out here in Palm Springs, Ca.

Have never seen a remote for an rv furnace. Have to shake my head over this...sorry this has to be the pinnacle of couch potatoe-ism or shameless bling to entice the connected generation to rv buyers. Now that we have established that I am fully in the "substance over marketing" camp...hope your remote continues to function flawlessly from here on out. John

Electrical problems are the worst for me. Nut'n posh about our 2006 2955rl, it's just the furnace control that came with it. Happy Camp'n, Jerry

In the 05 timeframe Keystone had as standard equipment a remote controlled thermostat on many of their units. The remote actually acted as a second sensor. They were not very well liked as there is an old post on the MOC about 50 pages long on owners dislikes. The furnace and A/C would fight each other and the temp setting would overshoot by better than 10 degrees on some units. Here's one of the old posts for some exhaustive reading.

I, too, have never heard of a remote for an RV furnace. Have also never heard of a Dometic furnace. We learn every day!

Had a remote in our 2005 3400rl. Was a nice feature once you learned the temperature offset.

Suburban, Attwood, or Hydroflame make the furnace unit ... Dometic was and is the brand of control thermostat you have on your wall for both A/C and heat. Like I mentioned, 10 years ago we all had a wall thermostat and remote that was common on about any Montana. You either lived with about a 10 degree temp swing with the A/C and furnace fighting each other or got Dometic to swap out the Dual Climate Control with the CCC control which was waaayyyyy better. Here's a shot of the remote.
