Electricity Prices

We have been parked in this park for almost 6 years, the Sp.rent included the electric. We are thinking of moving closer to town in a more modern park, any way in the other parks you have to pay for electric. I was wondering about what how much it would be, I have a friend that told me it would be $150.00 a month. What do you think?????

I know prices differ from state to state but it would tell me if I want to move or not.

About a year ago we stayed a month in a park in Imperial Beach, a suburb of San Diego. Electricity cost us $75 for the month. If I recall, the price was 11 cents per kwh. We use our washer and dryer. We used the AC during the day and the electric heaters at night. We were very close to the water where it cools down at night.

The campground that we will stay in for 5 months while in Florida this coming winter charges $315 per month and allows $25 per month for electricity. Any overage and we pay the difference. I don't know what the rate is per kwh.

We are paying $475 a month for the first 3 months and the 4th month is 275. That includes everything and even cable TV. If we stayed 10 to 15 miles away we could save money but we wanted to be close to everything. Finishing up our 3rd month and all is well.

WE are in a park in Fl, we pay 1680 a year
payable in advance, the electric is in our name with the power co, runs 50 to 75 a month, no w/d but a utility shed with a upright freezer. Like it this way, we can go and come at will, no one can touch our lot.Disconnect and leave, and return when we want to.

hoodiepo, is that just for electric or for space rent with electric??? Our rent here is $4100.00 a year with electric. I was told that the rent at the other park would be $210.00 a month plus electric which runs .09 cent a kilowatt and the other 5th wheels are running about what you are running.

Linda, your electric bill would have to average $131.67/month for the new park to cost you as much as the old park. We've now stayed a month, paying electricity, a few times and have never paid more than $75.00. Least was $24 but there was little need for AC or furnace.

Walt & Linda 09 cent pkwh is very good compared to Tx. last winter. I think they were 12 to 15. We stayed in 2 different parks.

Yes, San Diego takes it in the shorts from gas to electric rates. At our park in Lakeside, we average about $35-45 a month. It'd be more if we ran the air conditioner, but haven't.

WE'RE IN ROCKLEDGE FL. LIVING FULL TIME IN A 3400RL. OUR RENT IS 325 LAST MONTHS ELECTRIC BILL WAS 30.00. AND MY LADY RUNS THE A/C IN THE HOT MONTHS. SUGGEST YOU CHECK WITH THE LOCAL UTILITY COMPANY AND SEE WHAT THE KWH IS, THIS PARK SUPPLIES THE METER AND READS IT CHARGES US THE GOING UTILITY RATE OF .08 PER KWH.

I was under the impression there was a state to state law, that RV Parks couldn't make a profit off the Electric Co.. The Electric Co. charged 7.? cents for kwh in Az. but we wound up paying 13.9 cents per kwh for electricity at the Red Rock Campground in Parker, Az. Does anyone know how they can get away with this?
