Wayne,

Due to the weather, we're heading south as quickly as possible. We are hoping to leave OKC on Monday (high of 29 degrees)...

As for the Tampa RV show, we hope to meet all of you who will attend!

Lindy - we are so tired! Every time we think we have it licked, we realize we have more stuff to move. And, to make things more difficult, we thouht the 340RLQ was basically the same as the 3400RL. We are wrong - as Maxwell Smart would say, "Missed it by that much!" meaning that all of the cabinets seem to be just an inch or so TOO small for what we had in the 3400!

Oh well, we are enjoying the Big Sky.

Looks like your route will miss us by a few hundred miles, since we'll be in San Antonio. Maybe in the Spring our paths will cross.

Yup! Know about those missed cupboard spaces.

Edited: Take a look at coming down I-45 and picking up Hwy 105 in Conroe over to Beaumont, then picking up I-10. Hwy 105 is a good highway and will take some of the Interstate White Line Syndrone away.

If you are not in a hurry, Coushatta Casino in Kinder, LA has a nice CG for about $20 a night (if you don't play the slots.)

We tried to stop at Coushatta Casina in Kinder last spring on our way to Virginia. Called ahead, glad we did, they were totally booked up. SIGH

Hello Everyone!

We are just outside Baton Rouge, LA and I just got a chance to read all your posts. I am so excited about being a Montana family member. I do regret finally joining the day before we got our Big Sky, however. The next morning I told Michael we couldn't go to the dealer: "I have posting to do!" He said he was afraid he had created a monster.

A very special thanks to HamRad, Mrs. CountryGuy, Driftwoodgal(the picture was taken in Jamaica), blamb , stiles watson, DONnANNIE (thank you for not holding Michael against me

), Yamaha Mama (another National Parks fan, right on!), Glenn & Lorraine(for three years I felt like I had nothing to contribute. Who knows, maybe Lorraine and I will "talk" and find we have a lot to contribute.) Ozz (I miss you and your sweetheart so much! I am hoping I can get Sue hooked on the forum, because I miss her! I think she could add tremendously to sewing and crafts info.), Waynem, richfaa (of course I remember you! Hello to you both!), simonsrf (I would love to talk to Alice! Mapping, GPS, etc are things I could definitely use someone else's insight on.), eeoski (Tampa, Florida-we are staying @ sister in law's parents), Sailor (hope to see you at the show), Delaine and Lindy (hope to see you at the show as well).

Glad to see that you are on the road and getting closer to being settled in your NEW Big Sky. I love dolphins, in fact that would be the only tattoo I would have the guts to put on my ankle. It is always a joke with hubby when we cruise. I get a henna tattoo before our cruise at a local vendor. My kids have tatoos on several places. The youngest son kind of dared me to get one. On one of my cruises I kept the henna tattoo repainted with my Marking Pen when I got home. I finally gave up seeing him and let it fade. Wish I had kept up the art work to fool him. Shucks maybe I will have a real one done at 92 if I live that long

You said your picture was in Jamaica, were you on a cruise of a land vacation? I love Jamaica, but hubby doesn't like the vendors. We went to Dunns Falls, I was blown away by the awesome waterfall.

You will find a place for everything. All good things come with patience and a little tossing here and there.

I'm like you with tattoos. My kids have them, too, and so far henna is as far as I'll go.

We went to
the Dunns Falls Sandals, and yes, wasn't that waterfall amazing! We rented a little jeep (right hand drive!)and drove up through the Blue Mountains. It was the most beautiful day! It was raining a soft mist and the green color of the leaves were incredible. It was a Sunday, so we got to see a lot of the people walking to church. They were beautifully dressed in their white finery with their beautiful dark skin; and they all waived greetings to us. I'll never forget it.

We were going to give it to them, but their circumstances have changed and it would be more of a burden than a gift. We decided to help in other ways.

I certainly understand - I was just remember you discussing it earlier. I'm was considering the same, but a new grandson suddenly turned that idea into more of a burden than a help as well.
