Streets & Trips 2007 - Did I goof?

AFTER buying MS S&T 2007 and loading it, but before using, I found a "discussion group" to check on the new features. General concensus on that board is that 2007 is a step backwards - some nice new features, but the POI data may have become corrupted. Anyone here using S&T 2007? Are you seeing more bad info than on prvious versions? I understand MS has a 45 day return policy if dissatisfied but we're not taking our trip until May/June.

I just saw a rating for GPS mapping programs. Delorme was rated #1, Streets and Trips #2. Most of the people on the forums that post are those who are unhappy. I use the Delorme program with our GPS thingy but rely on Streets and Trips for finding campgrounds, mileage, etc. I need to learn more about the Delorme program as it probably provides the same information. Trip planning for me is easier on Streets and Trips. Our edition is 2005.

I had 2005, then upgraded to 2006 last year but had some surgery (bunion with some complications and then an appendectomy with more complications) - pretty well shot the whole year for traveling and I never really got to use it. I was going to load some POIs (state parks) so decided I'd just go ahead and upgrade to the 2007. We're planning a 3 week vacation this summer, so I want to "do it right" - maybe convince my wife that it's about time for retirement so we can do this more often. I envy some of you folks soooo much !!
