We'll be really glad to meet you. It will be our first time in the Valley, too.

Us, too. It will be our first time in the valley so we look forward to meeting both of you couples as well as all the others. We'll be there 1/5 to 3/5.

Not ignorant. I didn't know either until last winter when I was reading peoples post that were lucky enough to be there. It's the Rio Grands Valley in Texas. A lot of snowbirds go there and bask in the sun during the winter. Wish I was one of them.

Thanks.
We'll be traveling through the northern section of Texas this fall. Going from New Orleans to Tucson via Dallas. We plan on wintering just east of Apache Junction AZ in Queen Valley. Not to shabby

Just came back from visiting my daughter(first time) in AZ- Queen Creek. We just loved it. Saw what we could in a week (we didn't take our 5vr). Went to Apache Junction and drove the Apache Trail-beautiful. Just loved all the cactus- very different from NJ.

Exactly!!
Some fulltimers still maintain a stickhouse resident but many do not. There are many fulltimers in the MOC that have sold their stickhouse homes and live solely in their Montanas. We are such a couple. We sold or gave away most of our possessions and moved into our Monty in Oct 2003. In nearly 2 years of fulltiming we have spent all but 8 nights in the Monty. Over those 2 years the 8 nights were split up at a number of different motels along the way. Hey, even a fulltimer needs a vacation occasionally.

Garin1, we're like Glenn and Lorraine in that we sold our stick home, stored what we want to keep, gave away or sold the rest, and hit the road. We've been living this lifestyle for coming up on 30 months. I read somewhere awhile back there are somewhere over 2 million fulltimers in the USA. I am not sure how many also maintain a stick home somewhere and I'm not sure if that's 2 million rigs or 1 million couples. I'm not even sure if the number is accurate, it's just something I read somewhere.

Montana,
Approx 25-39 bucks at workamper.com. (sorry for the ad)
will get you in with all sorts of ads.. Or you can do it the old fashioned way and call a few campgrounds where you want to go.. and see if they need help.
I had folks at Vincennes Ind. try to get me to stay when we camped there the other day...
