Torque wrench

I bought a torque wrench from O'Reily Auto Parts in 2004. I paid $25 for it. It is one of those micrometer dial in types. It was like the old poem about the One Horse Shea that lasted a year and a day. The day I sold my Big Sky, the wrench froze up. I finally got around to taking it back to the store. It had a limited life time warranty. They gave me a new one, no questions asked. Good customer service. Oh yeah, the new one had a price tag of over $50.

Guess I paid too much for mine, $189 and change at sears, and that was six years ago. It is a high end quality tool.

There are some businesses out there who actually understand the value of good customer service!

Stiles,

Ah, young people!!! Us "Old Timers" remember it as Oliver Wendell Holmes poem, "The Deacon's Masterpiece", published in 1858, that described the "one-hoss-shay". I still get a kick out of the way the poem flows and the rhythm in which it is written.

The word "shay" is a US colloquialism of the French word "chaise" (pronounced "shay").
