A new wannabe

Greetings!! -

I'm Jerald Pendleton from Castro Valley California and I as prepare to send my last one off to college and we approach retirement the wife and I talking about trading the conventional home for one with wheels. What we've seen in fifth wheels keeps leading us back to the Montana line, so joining this group is phase 2 of our investigation. We here to suck in the knowledge from all the long time Montana owners out there.

Thanks,
Jerald Pendleton

After having owned and being around RVs for forty years, we decided to go 5er. We shopped and researched for 2 yrs. We concluded that Monte is the most for the money. We had no idea that the MOC existed, what a bonus!! Not only the vast knowledge here, but the great people and great friendships we've made. For instance, I am currently undergoing Radiation treatments at Duke Hospital in Durham N C, (living in Monte) so far, the only visitors we have had are fellow MOCers, George and Rosetta Person. What a great visit!! This is just one example of the MOC in action. The National Rally (Goshen) is without equal.
Not to say that Montana is without its issues, but continues to lead because of the close relationship between Keystone and the MOC.
Come join us and see for yourself. IMHO Larry

You are doing the right thing before making a big purchase, there are a lot of nice choices out there, Montana like was said before is the best bang for the buck IMHO ,This is my 2nd and Loved both of them and have had only minor issues with them and both problems not Keystone's fault and were fixed quickly on warranty

Welcome. My wife and I live in Alaska and have lived in our Monte (Elly Mae) for 2 years up here several years back and are moving back in for this winter. This forum has some great information and expertise. Ask all your questions.

Welcome to the forum. Many of us full time and a large number part time in their Montana's. The Montana line works well for those of us who want a house on wheels.

Jerald, we joined the MOC prior to a purchase sometime ago. I must say that every question or concern I had about a 5th wheel and especially Montana/Big Sky was answered by someone on this forum or directing me to a knowledgeable source.

We wish you good luck in your plan. You can also use PM to ask those tough questions you may not want aired on the forum too.

Jerald, It sounds like you have gone through what we did prior to getting our Montana 3750FL. We looked, compared, and looked and compared some more. We always came back to the Montana. To each his own, but IMHO it was our final choice.

We joined the MOC before buying our first Monty, did the research and then the purchase. This is a good place to gain knowledge and friendships as you gain RVing experience.

Welcome to the MOC from all us southerners especially those of us in NC. This s the place to get info and questions answered. It is amazing to do a search and see how much info is on here on just about any topic. We are on our second Montana. It is hard to find any brand out there that has more bang for the buck. Find a good dealer and the model that fits your wants and needs and you won't be sorry. Good luck.

We are Gill & Norma Gillespie. Both retired and loving our new lifestyle. Trying to decide between long term and full timing. After trying a trailer and not liking it, we purchased a 2009 3665Re 10th anniversary edition and love it. Minor problemns but MOC helped big time. Pull with 2013 Silverado LTZ long bed dually diesel. Looking forward to meeting some of you.
