Yaaa! Dexter....

Got my EZ Flex suspension and wet bolts put on today... ordered it direct from the factory. The lady there wanted me to order from a dealer, said it would be cheaper????? Well, Dexter's price was $187+shipping and most all the dealers I called wanted $270+shipping??? Came out to $225 with shipping and tax. Took her down to my local Bragg Trailer sales place to have it all put on. Figured by time I bought an extra jack or two and rolled around in the dirt and grass got someone to help me wrestle the axles around, I just might as well pay to have it installed. They charged me 4 hrs labor and total bill was $300 even. Heck I would still probably be out there under that trailer right now lol lol... 10-15 years ago I woulda done the job myself but with my back the way it is plus the wife didn't want to hear me saying bad words.... It was only a 30 mile trip back home so no real road experience on how it's gonna handle yet, but driving back the power line to the rear of the house it did seem to handle the off road bumps better. Now I wanna get her out on the road for a long haul......

Try I-70 thru Indiana and Illinois that will give you a good test.

Hah! Try any interstate highway in any state...Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico et. al. My test site is the 11 mile stretch on I-40 between the Colorado River (state line) and Needles, CA. The towing limit is 55 but the SAFE limit is a lot less. It will give any suspension a workout.

It sounds like you got the best deal that could be got. $300 for 4 hours work is hard to find anywhere these days. Most shops would charge $500 for 4 hours (at $125 per hour).

That's why for the mechcanics of my trailer I just go to a regular trailer sales. Here in Texas they deal in a lot of goose neck, heavy stock or horse trailers so there isn't a whole lotta difference. They have been pretty good with me so far. The RV dealer says would be $5-$600 or more since they were planning on 5-6 hours labor????

Boy do I feel lucky. Last year when I had new brakes installed after the rally I just ask the guys at the shop if they would install the wet bolt kit too and I think my total bill was less than three hundred labor for all of it!! I have told a couple of folks about the place that is straight south of Goshen Indiana. If you are at the rally next year or in the area give me a call and I will give you their contact information.
